Barcelona day 2

Nov 22
After a good nights sleep Garrett got up and went to the airport to pick up my bag personally because they said it was still there. Well by the time he got there they had sent it with a delivery man. Of course. So the time frame for delivery was till noon today and it's now 130 and no bag. I can't believe they expect us to sit at our apartment all day and wait to pick up the bag while we're on vacation. Tracy sat there all last night because  were told it was coming then too. Unbelievable.
Well after all that frustration about the bag we managed to have quite a fun day. At least those who were out did. We went to Sagrada familia to buy tickets to find out they wouldn't let us buy them for later, so I decided to explore the surrounding park while Ken, Tracy, and Kylie went in. I exchanged my ticket for a later one and Garrett and I went later on in the day. We went to the Picasso museum and it was improved my opinion of him to see his earlier works. I like them better than his later works for sure. We also saw the Cathedral-gotic
and then after Garrett and I went to Sagrada familia.
Later we stopped by Casa Batllo to see some more Gaudi.
The streets of Barcelona Gotic quarter and Ciutat Vella are incredible. They're narrow with bridges and arches and all sorts of random old buildings. There are even remnants of Roman walls randomly in between new buildings here and there and I kind of feel like I'm in Diagon alley haha.
The shops are so neat too. It's not the cheap touristy stuff like all over Europe, but really cool quirky things to see. We met the butcher, the baker and the bubble maker - and the candlestick maker for that matter.
I feel like the people are affluent and have good taste in clothes. We're is Zara in America?! Really, we really are deprived.
At about 8 pm I finally threw in the towel and accepted that I would never see my luggage again, so Garrett took me shopping around the main shopping area and everything was all dressed up in lights for Christmas. It was glorious. I only bought one outfit, and thank goodness I didn't go completely crazy shopping cause we got home to find my bag sitting on my bed. Apparently they dropped it off around 10pm. Finally we can be done with that!
