We took a day in Detroit to tour our own town. Loved it! We went to Belle Isle, the gaurdian building, and hung out at the River days carnival along the river. We also saw the Heidelberg project, which was smaller and a little wierder/lamer than I imagined. Belle Isle had a little zoo, aquarium, and arboretum that I liked. They also had a neat Great Lakes museum. It's a pretty little place and great for kids.

The night after I got back from India Garrett took me to a Tigers game. It was fun! Our seats had a great view of the city too. Tigers won.

Since I've been here I've decided to get my booty into shape with all this free time. I sometimes take pictures of the things I discover on my runs.
We hang out with the Sister missionaries occasionally, and drove them up to Bloomfield hills last week. We got to see the Temple! I hope we can make it there soon.
I ran through the sprinklers. It was too much fun.
In Ann Arbor we checked out main street. It was fun to see the cute little overpriced shops, and this was an art gallery we came across. Lunch was at the Grizzly Peak Grill, and it was yummy but overpriced.

Garrett took me to a sweet surprise- the Shantila! It's arabic desserts with some french pastries. We tried the   arabic stuff and it was ok.
I came across the Henry Ford Estate one day and it's amazing. I want a tour of the place but it's closed till after we leave! Such a shame. I am now begging Garrett to get rich so I can live on an estate one day. I just want acres of gardens and orchards and grass and beautiful sights. It's just breathtaking.
