California X2

So there are a lot of travel restrictions this year because of COVID, which made me pretty restless and stir crazy. The only place I could reasonably get to was California, so I took some risks. We ended up going twice. Once in early summer, and then a second time in October right before Halloween. These pictures are posted reverse order.

I decided to bring my bike along and do some exploring since I haven't had a lot of time at home to get out with Garrett gone. In Sacramento when we stopped to visit the Smiths for a few days I got out to Auburn.

Philip and Hunter are best friends. It's so sweet.

We went to a pumpkin patch in Lincoln and it was a great time with the cousins.

Philip is learning a lot of new words and pronounces them really clearly and well. He went from silent to saying just about everything he hears super suddenly. In this picture he said "hat" for the first time haha.

At HMB we found the most awesome tree to climb around in. All the playgrounds in the area were closed for COVID, but this was even better. We played frisbee in the park for a while too, and rode our bikes around town. Nothing is more healing to the soul than a good HMB bike ride.

So much of HMB is scenic. It's a lifestyle of beauty.

Philip took an interest in "Peaches", their rabbit, but couldn't seem to catch him.

We watched some friends get baptized in the ocean.

I also went and did the Soquel Demo trail in Santa Cruz while I was down there. It was a great time meeting random people on the trail and doing some awesome flow.

We also hit the pumpkin patch in HMB and got a few little keepers.

As is usual in HMB, the walk there was the best part.

Chelsea and I went out to check out the Filoli Gardens cause I'm a fool for estate gardens. I was in heaven.

And we found an old farm road and picked berries.

May and Dancelle were to die for.

Soren and Philip in heaven in the dirt.
