Trips home to Washington

Since August this year we've been able to visit home in Richland twice. The first time was for the Volmer family reunion, and the second was for Kenny's homecoming. We started out with Berry Days at Bear Lake with the cousins and had fun watching the parade and boating.

I believe that's Pugstone's in the background of the pic, which has now been demolished by a flying semi truck.
After Bear Lake we went straight up to Spokane and stayed at the cabin with the Strong family and cousins boating with everyone for a few days. The beach there was a real highlight. It's always the perfect temperature, beautiful, glassy water on the lake, and hardly anyone else there but us.

May was too little and I was too big for tubing so we just chilled on the boat and watched the fun.

We spent a day at Silverwood and again, May was too little and I was too big, but we did have a great time going on May's favorite puppy ride a million times, and swimming.

Once we got to Richland we did more boating and beaching at Fishhook and talked with the extended family. It was nice to see everyone's kids and be back together again. This is May and my cousin Hazel Volmer.
In October we went back and May got to meet Kenny for the first time getting off the plane.
We ate lots of good food and all the siblings were finally back together at once.
May and Dancelle had fun together, and with all of us sharing one bathroom and two bedrooms we made a lot of good memories.
