We were doubtful this year as to whether we could make the Maxfield camping trip at White Wash Sand Dunes work this year with May added to the already large number of people that we normally fit into Garrett's parents RV, but Ken and Tracy offered to rent us our own for the weekend and we were able to make it work! We were super excited to come back and camp after a 2 year break with me being pregnant and May being an infant last year. We also had a lot of fun playing with the cousins and their new dog Buddy.
May is so social she isn't really happy unless she's around a lot of people. She especially really likes other kids that play with her. You can see on her face how honored she was to be able to get on the top bunk with Madelynn and Mckinley. It was a little difficult that May can't walk yet when it came to playing outside in the dirt, but there was a little sand pit with toys that we went to and May had a lot of fun in the warm weather (finally).
May went on her first 4 wheeler ride strapped to mom around camp, and then went on rides with dad and Pa too.
We went out on a new trail to the edge of the red wash canyon overlook on our last day.
My favorite trail as always is Brian's trail. I got to go on it while the family was nice enough to stay back and watch May for me.
On the last Saturday we had a big Easter egg hunt around camp, and May sat in the dirt and played with her eggs. The next day on Sunday we went to Great Grandma Hoyt's house and had the yearly egg hunt there too. That night we had a pizza dinner with Grandma Mamie who was in town, and the Peterson's and their kids, and Emily and Bryan.
Dad held May and helped her find her eggs around the backyard. She liked to pick them up and put them in her basket.
The next weekend Rosie came to visit for two days while Jake was in school. We went to the Tracy Aviary and hiked Temple Quarry and had a lot of fun.
