The Announcement

"Look, they bought Mickey hats!" -Madelynn

I found out that I was pregnant at week 6. It turns out I was the whole time I was in Asia, which explains a lot of the "seasickness" I felt on the Mercy. I was worried that the salmonella I caught would be harmful, but I took antibiotics right after I got home and it seems to have not had any effect. The first ultrasound I got, I was by myself while Garrett was at work. I cried unexpectedly, because it felt real very suddenly. For some reason I felt like it was a boy, although I was very happy either way.

Week 18 day 5

I know they say you don't feel anything till 20 weeks but I feel like the little one has been boxing around all day today. I felt little things as early as 16 weeks but then it was hard to distinguish between muscle twitches and gas. Now it's unmistakable, and very frequent. I hope this means very healthy, strong legs!

Week 19 day 6 

September 28th

20 week ultrasound says baby girl! Honesty that was the least of my cares. I just wanted to see all 4 chambers, a three vessel cord, a placenta in the right place, and neural tube closed right. Today was probably the last time I will wear my pre pregnancy skinny jeans. I can still wear my looser ones, but the button is too uncomfortable on those ones. I'm finally completely done with sickness. It was like the minute I hit 2nd semester it vanished. Life is much better and a lot of my energy is back again. The official due date is February 16th.
