Life story version:
We started out the adventure of a lifetime flying in to Brussels. There wasn't anything particularly horrific in our plane trip except the inevitable day and a half of sleeping upright in stuffy plane chairs eating peanuts and cran-apple juice almost exclusively. We got in at 8am, which if course meant we got no sleep and dove straight into the city. Instead of taking the transit we opted to hoof it to the city center and discover the city along the way. First we hit a little flea market, and then we came across Notre Dame en Sabon next to a cute little park.
Then we wandered till we found the Manneken Pis, which always seemed to have a crowd around it.

The Grand Place was pretty neat, but half of it was covered under construction.
We got Belgian waffles, frites, and chocolate, and I was pretty sugared out by the end of the day. We were so worn out that we went back to our hotel and took a long nap later in the evening.
